Pleasantly surprised how thick and strong these turned out. Very impressed!!
This is the first time I've used a builder gel for my nails. I do my nails at home. I decided to use it to create nail extensions instead of my usual tube of polygel. This product claims not to stick to your hands and I found that to be partially true. If you are quick and keep the gel moving, it doesn't seem to stick. But if you hold the gel for more than a few seconds, your body heat will start to "melt" it a bit and it does get sticky. I found that using stainless steel spatulas and modeling tools was the perfect way to manage this gel, because the gel didn't stick to those tools - probably because metal tends to be cooler than hands.
This gel has a fairly strong smell. It's not a horrible smell, just a chemical odor.
When using my nail drill to shape my nails, the hardened gel did not powder. Instead if came off in small "chunks," and pieces wanted to stick to my nails as if there were fiber holding the hardened gel together (there is no fiber). That was odd.
Overall, I will use this gel until it's gone. Still, I am more comfortable with the polygel tubes that I am already used to using - but that's just me.
I recommend trying this product - it does do what it was made to do. If you are more skilled than I am, You will probably love it.
I’ve been loving getting 3D nails but lately the price has been untenable so I decided to try and just do the 3D design myself since I’m mostly ever looking for blobs. This stuff is so easy. It’s tough so you roll it out like play dough then cure it. The learning curve was 20 seconds. This is super tough and not liquidy at all so if you’re looking for something closer to the consistency of glue, you need a different product. This is more like putty.
This is great for making basically little shapes to put on your nails, I made icicles, snowballs, and little animal shapes, and I apologize I don’t have any pictures. I definitely would not use it for tip application, I think basecoat just works better. It’s very easy to get dust and fingerprints in it, even if you’re wearing gloves, I definitely recommend using some kind of sculpting tools with it.
Of all the methods out there, this one is undoubtedly the easiest if you want to do your nails yourself! Easy to use, good quality, no strong odors and quick to make and good price
Good for beginners. Takes some practice. You get a good amount for the price.
I experienced no difference between this product and more expensive brands
I love this product, it's not sticky and it's very manageable. I'm still learning how to do my own nails so I will leave a photo at a later time. Buy it, it works
I love the idea of the stuff but trying to use it is not easy. Need better instructions
