How does the Steam Pro work?
The Steam Pro works by warming acetone, creating “steam” that penetrates and softens polish for fast and easy removal without any damage.
How is the Steam Pro different from the soak off method?
With the Steam Pro, the nails will never be submerged in acetone. The fingers lightly grip the underside of the cap to allow the “steam” to penetrate the polish.
Does the Steam Pro work with gel, gel-x, dipping powder, acrylic, etc.?
The Steam Pro is compatible with acetone soluble nail systems.
How do I prep my nails before using the Steam Pro?
We recommend using a hand file or electric file to remove the top coat(s) of polish to “break the seal”. Thicker applications of product such as gel-x, acrylic, etc. may require additional filing to de-bulk the nails prior to steaming. Thoroughly de-bulking the nails will reduce the steam time and the need for scraping off the remaining polish after steaming.
How long does removal take?
Steam time depends on the type of polish being removed and how well the nails are prepped.
Can I use any polish removal liquid with the Steam Pro?
We recommend 100% acetone only for best results.
Will I smell the acetone?
The acetone is contained within the Steam Pro. The silicone finger slots keep the “steam” from escaping the device during use.
Can I use the Steam Pro to remove toe nail polish?
The Steam Pro is designed for fingernail polish removal only.
Can I use the Steam Pro in my salon?
The Steam Pro is recommended for personal use only.
Getting Started:
- Remove your Steam Pro and the two-piece power adapter from the box.
- Place your Steam Pro on an even, clean surface when in use.
- Connect the power adapter and cord to the device. Plug the power cord into an outlet and keep it away from any source of water.
- Remove the top cover and the cover with finger slots from the device and pour 40-50ml of 100% acetone into the clear tray provided, then secure the top cover back onto the device. Never pour acetone directly into the device.
- Turn the power switch to the “ON” position to begin heating.
- Test your skin to make sure you are not sensitive to 100% acetone. You should not initiate use with the Steam Pro if you have an allergic reaction.
How To Use:
- File off the top layer of polish to “break the seal”. Thicker applications of product such as gel-x, acrylic, etc. may require additional filing to de-bulk the nail prior to steaming.
- Wait for the device to heat up. The “H” setting indicates heat.
- When the “S” (steam setting) light turns green place your fingers in the finger slots. Fingers should lightly grip the underside of the cap and should not be submerged in the acetone.
- Steam for a minimum of 5-10 minutes, repeating steaming as needed based on the polish type. During steaming the “H” setting may switch on and off as the device regulates the temperature.
- The “W” setting indicates that the device is starting to cool. If additional steaming is required, switch the device off and back on to repeat the cycle.
- Remove remaining polish with the Essential Nail Tools while polish is still pliable from steaming. Buff bare nails with the Multi-Step Buffer.
- Properly dispose of the acetone, clean the device, and allow the Steam Pro to cool completely before storing.
Note: Results will vary based on the type and amount of polish being removed. Thorough filing and repeated steaming is recommended for stubborn polish types or heavy applications of polish. The Steam Pro is for personal use onl
I used to struggle with removing my gel nails. I'd just sit on the couch and peel them off, which left my nails thin and damaged. I even considered giving up on gel altogether. I found this on facebook and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, the steam pro is a game changer! It's saved my nails from damage and it's so easy to use.
I'm totally loving this steamer! It came right on time, which was awesome. When I used it for gel polish, it only took about 10 minutes for each hand to steam off. I was on the fence about how well it would work, but I was pleasantly shocked!
This product is fantastic! It effortlessly removed my dip powder. Surprisingly it was faster than going to the salon for removal...plus it saved me money. Win-win!
I've finally found something that does the job! My dip manicure was removed in just a few minutes. It felt gentler on my nails, and I didn't have to scrape like with other methods.
After struggling with various removal methods in the past, I was hesitant to believe that a steamer could make such a difference. After trying it myself I got to say this steamer is totally worth it. If you're all about keeping your nails strong and healthy this is the product to get. You won't regret it!
